These coppers were coined for use in the French Colonies and circulated in Louisiana, the West Indies and other French Colonies. This coin carries an “ RF ” Counter stamp ( Republique Francaise ). This coin displays remnants of an “A ” mintmark, signifying that it was minted at the Paris Mint.
